Lake Tahoe - Truckee Leadership Program
Leadership skills. Community issues. Information exchange. These are
the central topics explored and taught in the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee
Leadership Program (NLTTLP), which is embarking on its fifth year
in 2008. The program is a collaborative project of the Truckee Donner Chamber of
Commerce, North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, and the North Tahoe
Business Association in conjunction with Sacramento State University. It is the goal
of the NLTTLP’s business-oriented curriculum to give emerging community leaders the tools and information
needed to effectively address issues faced in the Tahoe/Truckee region.
Each year 25 individuals from traditional and non-traditional leadership
backgrounds alike are chosen from a group of applicants to participate
in the NLTTLP. The program includes five, day-long sessions which
take place once a month for five months. Partial scholarships are
available on a limited basis and based on need. Applications are available
