Would you consider hosting a Toy Drive Collection Box in your place of business? For over 30 years, Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner has partnered with Truckee Community Cares (formerly Truckee Community Christmas) to collect and distribute toys to deserving children in our area. In 2022, new toys were provided to more than 510 Truckee children. The annual Toy Drive would not be a success without the support of our community and local businesses.
Perhaps yours is a business with minimal foot traffic or does not have a storefront. A Toy Drive at your 2023 Holiday Party is a way to make your event even more impactful. It is an excellent way to make the holiday season merrier for Truckee’s less fortunate families and children.
If you are interested in hosting a toy collection box, a Soroptimist member will personally deliver a toy collection box to you and will gather up the donations at the end of the event or by December 13, 2023. New, unwrapped toys are requested so that the gifts can be best matched with a child. This year, we cannot accept stuffed animals, books, or toy guns. The Toy Drive is a wonderful way to show your support for our amazing community and to help those in need.
Monetary donations of any size are also always welcomed.
