Entrepreneur-owner Jenny Geresy (center, with her dog Charlie) was born and raised in Truckee. The pandemic changed Jenny’s intended path. Not long after receiving her graduate degree, COVID-19 hit while Jenny was working at Oakland Children’s Hospital and the entire country went into quarantine.
She wanted to return to the mountains and her family and lifelong friends, but needed a way to be financially independent. As she thought about her options in Truckee-Tahoe, Jenny believed that Truckee was lacking a store with casual, stylish clothing for men. She ran her idea by several friends, who were all enthusiastic about a contemporary and fun clothing store for men.
Jenny poured her heart into the business plan and creating Grizzly Menswear. One of the models for her early Instagram advertising, is her dad, Don. Jenny describes the vibe of the store as, “Where lake life meets mountain life.” It’s a fun mixture of lake attire and mountain attire. Shopping at Grizzly Meanswear’s beautiful store, with a wide selection of men’s clothes and accessories is a pleasant experience, even if shopping isn’t your thing.
