Truckee is your base camp for a BIG WINTER experience surrounded by world-class resorts for skiing or snowboarding within 10 to 15 minutes drive. The Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District create an ice skating rink at the Regional Park in the winter. Northstar, California and the Resort at Squaw Creek have rinks as well.
