TART (Truckee Tahoe Area Regional Transit) offers daily local service throughout Truckee and regional service throughout North Lake Tahoe. Truckee is home to the Truckee Tahoe Airport that is committed to offering the best small, mountain airport in the country. Truckee is a train town. It is a significant part of our history and trains still run through Truckee today, with Amtrak offering minimal passenger service from the historic train depot in downtown Truckee.
