The Truckee Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome new member, The Peace Offering. Laura Patterson, founder of The Peace Offering, has created a sanctuary in Truckee that reflects her deep commitment to healing, farming, cooking, and yoga. She manages two organic and biodynamic orchards and gardens dedicated to vegetables, herbs, and plant medicine, where she teaches others to use food as medicine. Her passion for holistic wellness extends to her yoga classes, which deepen the mind-body connection.
At The Peace Offering, the focus is on helping people reconnect with their true nature. By partnering with local yogis, indigenous elders, and healers from around the world, the studio offers a variety of classes, workshops, and retreats designed to foster community and well-being. Their mission is to guide individuals back to the ancient wisdom of the earth and to support a lifestyle in harmony with nature.
Everyone is invited to come celebrate The Peace Offering’s Grand Reopening from September 1-7. They are next door to their former location at 10075 W River Street in Downtown Truckee. To celebrate, all of The Peace Offerings classes and workshops are FREE for the entire week from Sunday, September 1 – September 7! They will also be offering their membership at 50%! This amazing saving gives you the opportunity to lock in the 50% off price for 3 months or for the entire year! Finish the week off with a special event at the studio on Saturday September 7 starting at 5:00 p.m. featuring live music with Cary Berkley, a Yoga Session with Staci Curtis, and bites from Cloud Sushi.
The Peace Offering’s array of offerings is as diverse as it is unique, catering to a wide range of needs. From invigorating workouts to breathwork and sound healing sessions, the weekly classes are designed to rejuvenate both body and mind. Special attention is given to mothers, with prenatal yoga, mommy + me classes, and a birth preparation course. In addition to these regular offerings, The Peace Offering hosts workshops and circles focused on Full and New Moon rituals, medicine making, tension and trauma release, and artistic expression. Women’s circles provide a space for connection and growth, reinforcing the sense of community that is central to The Peace Offering’s philosophy.
The Peace Offering also extends its commitment to holistic health beyond the studio. They organize all-inclusive retreats at their organic and biodynamic farms, where participants can immerse themselves in farm-to-table living. These retreats include gardening and cooking classes, hot/cold contrast therapy, yoga, and health lectures designed to offer deep, holistic healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
One of the unique aspects of The Peace Offering is its global perspective. Through its partnership with Aniwa, an organization dedicated to global unity and spiritual growth through Indigenous traditions, The Peace Offering extends its reach beyond local boundaries. Laura Patterson’s involvement goes beyond just supporting the organization—she grows all the food for the annual Aniwa Gathering, cooks for the Indigenous elders, and serves as a trustee of the Aniwa Foundation. This collaboration highlights her dedication to sustainability and community, values that are at the heart of The Peace Offering.
Health summits and online coaching courses are not just additional services at The Peace Offering, they are a key part of what the studio provides. Their recent summit, “Remineralize and Heal Your Gut,” featured experts like Morley Robbins and Mary McCallum, who shared cutting-edge insights on healing by addressing the root causes of illness. The studio’s online courses, such as the “High Energy Health Course,” empower participants to optimize their health through understanding mitochondrial function, diet, supplements, and detoxification.
Additionally, The Peace Offering runs a “Peace Blog” featuring interviews and articles on various health topics. This freely available resource extends its mission of providing valuable information for those seeking holistic health.
By joining the Truckee Chamber of Commerce, The Peace Offering hopes to connect with more locals who could benefit from their offerings and expand their community of people committed to living healthier, more balanced lives.
