We had a great time once again at Truckee’s 4th of July Parade – Throwback Thursday theme. Thanks to everyone who participated and came to enjoy the festivities.
As always, the Firecracker Mile runners started it off with great form and 4th of July spirit.
Thanks to Crux Events for providing fun music before and after the parade as well as the Crux Judge & MC Stage. KTKE 101.5 also provided great music and commentary in their tent toward the parade start, near Mountain Hardware and Sports. We enjoyed the Mountain Belles singing their beautiful harmonies of patriotic songs downtown on the judges’s stage and Tahoe Truckee Media filmed the parade live. There were many great entries and the tally was close. It was fun seeing all of the Throwback Thursday-themed entries, and all those with great red, white, and blue 4th of July spirit!

We had a lot of fun getting to know some newer residents and learning more about longtime locals who joined us, at our Community Connections area with seating near the Crux Judge & MC Stage for the parade.
