Meet New Member: Good Anya

October 23, 2021

Looking for a gift or to beautify your home? Good news – Good Anya has recently opened a new storefront in Westgate Center next to Wild Cherries! To Anya, plants are friends! Good Anya provides plants, pots, preserved moss art and more at her shop and through her online store (thegoodanya.com).

She also offers plant styling and consultation services. Whether you’re looking to beautify your home or someone else’s, Good Anya offers many options in categories such as “Rare & Unusual,” “Hard to Kill,” “Low Maintenance,” and more, with rotating inventory and helpful advice.

Anya grew up in Khabarovsk, Russia, which is surrounded by deep, undeveloped forest with few trails. Although her family lived in the city, like many, her family kept a little cottage in the countryside where they grew fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Her family spent every weekend working in their garden there in the spring and summer. Anya learned from her mom and grandma from an early age to be in touch with plants and the soil. They kept some of the countryside in their city home year-round, with plants on every windowsill.

Anya had always dreamed of living in San Francisco, so she immigrated there on her own in 2013, where she studied graphic design, taught children’s art, and worked on the production team of Water Lily Pond Floral Design Studio.

Anya and her partner Scott are thrilled to be part of the Truckee community. Anya feels incredibly lucky that her journey has brought her to Truckee, where she can bring joy and plants to the community through Good Anya.
