Truckee Fire: Fuel Reduction Request for Proposals

Truckee Fire Protection District (Truckee Fire) is requesting proposals from qualified and interested contractors (contractor) to provide Forest Management/Fuel Reduction services for three (3) Community Wildfire Resilience Projects. 

  1. Martis Peak Roadside Fuel Break Project
  • 106 acres, 50’ roadside vegetation management/fuel break on Martis Peak Rd
  • Light Mechanical and/or Hand Crew Work 
  1. Sierra Meadows Community Fuel Reduction Project
  • ~83 acres community fuel reduction across multiple units in the Sierra Meadows Community
  • Light Mechanical and/or Hand Crew Work
  1. Armstrong Tract Hand Thin Project
  • ~42 acres fuel reduction project uphill/upslope from Armstrong Tract
  • Hand Crew Work supported by track chipper, and Hand Thin & Pile 

It is Truckee Fire’s intent to secure local contractors to perform vegetation management work that exude a high level of reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail. *​**Complete proposals must be submitted to Truckee Fire by 3:00PM (PST) on July 9, 2024.​

All Proposals must be sealed and delivered enclosed in any opaque sealed envelope. Proposals may be hand delivered to the administration office located at 10049 Donner Pass Rd Truckee CA, 96161, or mailed to P.O. Box 2768 Truckee, CA 96160.
