Watch July's Good Morning Truckee: Special District Updates

Thank you to our outstanding local leaders and everyone who joined us for our Good Morning Truckee breakfast meeting on July 21 for our Special District Updates!

We learned about many of the projects, services, and priorities shaping our community, including:

• New park projects underway and new sports and activities with the Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District.

• That outdoor irrigation accounts for the largest share of our drinking water use, increasing by 3 to 4 times per household in summer and how TDPUD can help you conserve water through rebates and resources.

• Nutrients aren't always a good thing, and how the Tahoe-Truckee Sanitation Agency treats wastewater and safely returns it to the watershed.

• Truckee Tahoe Airport leads the U.S. and possibly the world as the first airport to only offer Sustainable Aviation Fuel, reducing carbon emissions by 80%. They also invested $11.5 million back into community projects between 2023-2026.
