December 8th Good Morning Truckee introduced three new leaders to the community.
Jennifer Callaway is the new Town Manager for the Town of Truckee. She comes to Truckee from the City of Morro Bay where she was not only the Finance Director, but also the Acting Public Works Director and Public Information Officer. Callaway has over 18 years of experience in local government.
Carmen Ghysels is the new Superintendent Chief Learning Officer for the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. She is an educational leader with 35 years of experience serving students in multiple capacities including a special education teacher, an ESL teacher, a migrant student teacher, a teacher, a technology director, a principal, special education director, and as a Deputy Superintendent.
Brian Wright is the new Interim General Manager of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District. He has over 20 years experience in water utility operations and maintenance management. Wright has been with the TDPUD seven years, prior to which he served at the City of Manhattan Beach and California American Water.
Good Morning Truckee is a community forum to provide timely, relevant information on a variety of topics. It is open to the public – everyone is invited free of charge. It is held the second Tuesday of every month virtually from 7:30-8:30am.
