The Government Action Committee (GAC) of the Truckee Chamber of Commerce is a proactive and influential group dedicated to advocating for the interests of the local business community. The committee collaborates with elected officials, government agencies, and community stakeholders to shape public policies and regulations that support the growth and prosperity of Truckee businesses. By monitoring local and regional legislation, developing positions, and engaging in effective advocacy, the GAC works to create a favorable business climate, promote economic development, and foster responsible governance. Through its efforts, the committee strives to enhance infrastructure, workforce development, and sustainable growth in the Truckee area, ultimately contributing to the long-term success of local businesses.
The first meeting of the GAC was held in September 2023 and focused on creating our 2024 legislative agenda and platform.
